Creating Your First Digital Product Part 2
February 19, 2010

This next part could very well be the most important. I will go over two of the scripts I have used and the benefits and disadvantages of them. These scripts allow you to do many things which include, building your optin list via AWeber or TrafficWave, protecting your products from thieves, build a membership base which continues to drive traffic and can result in additional sales and allows you to  create one time offer pages to bump up sales.

The first membership script I used is called Instant Member. This script comes at a great price of just $97 and each additional site after just $47. I used this script on my web site Secret Traffic Reports which is a monthly report that is dripped into the members account each month. This script has many benefits and unique features such as being able to drip the content over several months, different upgrade options, one time offer pages and supports many popular payment methods such as Paypal and Clickbank.

I have found there is a major drawback with this script which is it hampers with some customization.  All of the pages are encrypted so you can not edit any of the pages besides in your admin area. This makes things difficult if you wish to add additional pages such as a JV invite page or add features to your pages such as javascript as the editor in the admin area is only an HTML editor and will not support javascript.

The second script is one I am using right now called Launch Formula Marketing. This script comes with a bit of a price tag at $997 or you can do a payment plan for $333 over a 3 month span. This script so far is awesome and easy to set up. Once you pay for the script you can use it on as many sites as you wish. You also get 1 year of free upgrades of the script. The best feature so far about this script is it is fully customizable and comes with a built in rebrander. This is one effective tool to use when you want to build yourself a large list. It allows you to create an ebook, give it away for free and then upsell them on the rebrand rights for the ebook. They can then login to their account and input their affiliate ideas and give the ebook away for free with their own links. The site I am building with this script will be announced at the end of this tutorial.

This is a quick bonus that I found when researching around. This site is called Digital Product Delivery and will protect your digital products from thieves. It is a low monthly fee of just $5 to protect 10 different products with the option of larger packages if you need it. I use this digital protection on my web site Take Action SEO.

The next posting will be: Creating Your First Digital Product Part 3 and go over Prelaunch JV’s and steps to take before the launch of your product to make is successful.

  • I will look into the Digital Product Delivery. I’m looking at improving security and the price seems very reasonable. Thanks for the info.
